Good Day Out!

We left the dock at 7:30 am and were back at the dock by 10:00 am. We found a school of fish in 40-50 feet of water on the west side of the fishing channel in between G1 & G85a can. We caught 5 fish in progression traveling east over school only. Fish 1 and 2 where on the white billy bar. Fish 3 was on a chartreuse umbrella. Fish 4 was on the dummy line. The last fish was on the deep chartreuse tandem and swallowed the bait. Cameron had to put his arm down the fish's throat to about his elbow to de-hook the fish. Thank goodness for a fearless 8 year old first mate! We returned the fish immediately to the water to give it the best chance to survive. Thankfully the fish swam away under it's own power.

    The Fishermen

The fishermen of our home are Mike (Dad) and Cameron (the boy). They both love to be out on the water and it's wonderful that they share that with each other.
