About Trab On III
Trab On III is a 2004 25 foot Proline fishing boat. The name "Trab On" came from our kids. We used the boat for crabbing on a trot line. As the crabs showed themselves on the crab necks, Mike would call out "Crab On!". Well, the kids, who were very young at the time, would get excited and would join in yelling "Trab On!". We thought that the name would be original and brought about some really good memories. The Trab On III has since been retired from crabbing, but still carries the name our children gave her and yes, there were two other boats before her and they were all named "Trab On".
Trab On III is a 2004-25 foot Proline Walk Around with an 8' 6" beam powered by a 2 stroke, 250HP Mercury Saltwater engine. She is outfitted with a vhf radio, stereo, matrix 37 fishing system, spotlight, and full Raymarine electronics including radar, GPS, depthfinder, Sirius radio and weather. Mounting of the engine on the swim platform allows for more room in the boat, with a hardtop covering the cockpit area that can be fully enclosed during the worst weather. The front cuddy cabin allows for stowage/seating that can be used for a nap or a hide away to use the self-contained porta-pottie. Top speed on this vessel has been clocked around 42 mph with normal cruising between 22-30 mph. She has seen over 6000 nm of travel since being acquired in March of 2005.
