Ended the 9 day fishing spree with coworker George Webb and his wife Eva accompanied by myself, Cam and his friend Joey. Although the weather was beautify, we struggled for over 6.5 hours before we were able to land a 36 incher. Glad we were able to keep the streak alive

Just a great day to be on the water. Had Teresa, Karen, Shawn and Cam out for what turned out to be a very calm day. Ended up landing a 32" and 35" rockfish that made for an afternoon of grilled fish and beer.
Today we had 2nd annual charter courtesy of My Girl Fishing Charters. Many thanks to Captains Steve and Laura for their efforts putting us on the fish. We landed five fish for our group of 6 including Cal, Tom, Gary, Frank, Mike and myself. A bit of a windy start with fears of only getting 2 fish ended up a great day on the water with five keepers.
Bill and Lew accompanied me for what turned out to be the most calm day on the water so far. The fog was as thick as soup from the time we left the dock at 6 am until around 10:30 in the morning. We landed our first fish around 7:30 and the second around 10:30. We worked the fishing grounds trying for the 3rd without success...but wow, what a beautiful day
Had a great friend fishing day with Mike. It was a bit wavy, but we were able to land a 28 incher after bringing in a 39 1/2. Done by 9:30 and beat the rain that started as we pulled into the dock.
Found out Cameron had strep throat on Monday and he was not allowed back to school until Wednesday, so we had a father / son 1/2 day today. Had a blast and landed a 36 incher by late morning. While circling back to the site of attack, a planer board line broke sending us into a panic. At the end of it all we had to re-group and called it quits. No worries though...what's another $50 bucks.
Spent the morning again with wind, but it finally moved through by mid day. We were able to land a 34 inch fish, but after the wonderful weather took over, it was more about fun in the sun. Had Joe, Bob, Jim, Mary Beth and myself on this journey.
Still windy, but not as bad as opening day. Too bad it felt like earth was no longer being warmed by the sun. Had the Perry boys as guests on the boat with Cam and Mike. Still had some wind and waves, but managed to land two beautiful fish - 36 and 37 inch ladies!
Nasty start to a season. Winds in the 20's with gusts to 30-35. 2 foot waves that just seemed to keep getting bigger. Too much water...coming onto the boat. Gave up and came in. Had 4 on the boat - Shawn, Keith, Cam & me |
The FishermenThe fishermen of our home are Mike (Dad) and Cameron (the boy). They both love to be out on the water and it's wonderful that they share that with each other. PicturesPictures can be viewed in the Photo Gallery. Archives
